Now I work as a receptionist at an HIV clinic. I like it very much because I am dealing with people who are HIV-positive like I am.
Things have changed so much for me in the last two years. I've got fat and I'm doing a busy job. I know that I will achieve whatever I want, and my family will reap the rewards of my work. Everyone laughed at my mum when I was found to be HIV-positive, but now I can help support her. It's all because of the drugs. If I had not been able to get free medicine from MSF, I don't know what would have happened. So many people would have died — me included. Treatment should be free for everybody. It is not the wish of African countries to be poor. HIV is a global issue and even Africa is on the globe! The end |
